Northern Norway/Sápmi: Linus Johnsen Announced for Pan-ArcticVision 2025

Linus Johnsen will represent Northern Norway/Sápmi at Pan-ArcticVision 2025 in Nunavut.

Linus Johnsen is the latest artist to be announced as competing in Pan-ArcticVision next month in Iqaluit. The twenty-two year old singer is based in Tromsø where he is currently completing his bachelor’s in music. Linus is no stranger to competitions, having previously competed in Sámi Grand Prix in 2023.

He performs in the northern sámi language and was awarded Young Artist of the Year at the Sámi Music Awards 2025. In September, he released his first EP, “Muoraš”. The song he will perform at Pan-ArcticVision 2025 has not yet been announced.

Pan-ArcticVision 2025

The third edition of Pan-ArcticVision will be held on November 29 in Iqaluit, Nunavut. To date, two acts have been announced for the competition:

Pan-ArcticVision is loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest and was first held in 2023. The contest aims to bring together the peoples of the Arctic. All of the artists competing in the contest were chosen by cultural organisations across the Arctic.

Three categories are awarded prizes in each edition:

  • The most Arctic song
  • The song that gives the most feeling of community and togetherness
  • The most revolutionary song
