Shauna Seeteenak has been announced as Nunavut’s representative for Pan-ArcticVision 2025 in Iqaluit.
Shauna Seeteenak will represent her home province at the 3rd edition of Pan-ArcticVision which will be held in Nunavut later this year. The hiphop artist was chosen after auditions were held at the Alianait Arts Festival (ᐊᓕᐊᓇᐃᑦ ᑕᐅᑐᕋᓐᓈᖅᑎᑦᓯᓂᖅ) in June to determine the Nunavut representative.
Shauna Seeteenak is from Qamani’tuaq (Baker Lake) and has been performing since she was 13 years old. She performed at her first festival in 2011 and has since gone on to release numerous songs and an album. She has also been nominated at the Arctic Music Awards.
Iva and Angu won the 2024 contest for Nunavut when it was held in Nuuk, Greenland. Pan-ArcticVision 2025, the third edition of the contest, will be held on October 18 in Iqaluit.
