Lithuania: Intends to Participate in Eurovision 2019

Following Azerbaijan’s confirmation yesterday, Lithuania becomes the next country to confirm their participation at next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Lithuanian broadcaster LRT has confirmed to ESCToday that they are intending on participating in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Israel. The broadcaster did not reveal the method in which they will select their participant, however it’s likely that they will stick to their national final format.

Ieva Zasimauskaite represented Lithuania at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal. With her song “When We’re Old”, she placed 12th in the Grand Final.

Lithuania’s confirmation brings the provisional numbers for next year’s contest up to twenty-one. There are nine other countries that had participated in last year’s contest that haven’t yet revealed whether they will be back next year, including 2018 host country Portugal.
