Thijs Hogenboom has been announced as the replacement for this years Eurovision Young Dancer participant for the injured Timothy van Poucke.
Eurovision Young Dancers takes place in exactly 15 days time in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Thijs Hogenboom was selected as the replacement dancer by NTR the Dutch broadcaster and Cameron McMillan the Head Choreographer of Eurovision Young Dancers.
Vladislav Yakovlev, Executive Supervisor of Eurovision Young Dancers told YoungDancers.tv that:
It’s very sad for Timothy that he is injured and cannot take part in Pilsen. However, I am very pleased that NTR have been able to find another excellent candidate in such a short space of time. We look forward to welcoming Thijs to Pilsen, and I would like to express my thanks to the Young Dancers team at NTR for their hard work in finding him.
Thijs will be performing a routine called “Variation of the Male Flame”, the 19-year-old dancer is currently studying at De Dutch Junior Dance Division in The Hague. He has been dancing since the age of 10, moving from ballet to contemporary dance.
