Just under 1 million viewers watched at least one minute of Semi-Final One of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 live from Vienna.

An average audience of 475,000 viewers watched Semi-Final One of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, with a total audience of 994,000 viewers. The competition had an average share of 37.7%, peaking at 44% share during the qualifiers announcement. ERT 1 was the most watched channel in Greece for the duration of the show.

  • Germany โ€“ 920,000 viewers โ€“ 5.2% share
  • Greece โ€“ 994,000 viewers โ€“ 37.7% share
  • Netherlands โ€“ 767,000 viewers

Akylas will represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. He competed in Semi-Final One with โ€œFertoโ€ and has qualified for the Grand Final where he will perform in the first half.

Greece debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, when they were represented by Marinella and the song โ€œKrasi, thalassa kai tโ€™agori mouโ€, which finished in 11th place with 7 points. Three years later, Greece earned their first top 5 finish with Paschalis, Marianna, Robert, and Bessy, who finished in 5th place with โ€œMathima solfegeโ€. In 2001, Greece achieved their first top 3 placing with Antique and the song โ€œI Would Die For Youโ€. The song became a European hit and charted across the continent. In 2005, Helena Paparizou returned to the Eurovision stage as a solo artist and brought Greece their first, and to date only, victory. Her song โ€œMy Number Oneโ€ won with 230 points, beating runners-up Malta by 38 points.
