Andi Knoll will once more be the voice of the Eurovision Song Contest for ORF at this year’s contest in Vienna, Austria.
Andi Knoll continues his run as one of the longest-serving Eurovision commentators, as ORF confirmed that the man known as “Mr. Song Contest” will be returning to their commentary booth for the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest. Andi has been commentating at Eurovision for the Austrian broadcaster since the 1999 contest.
Host broadcaster ORF has also announced further details of its programming schedule for the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 on Tuesday, 12 May:
- May 12 – 17:55 CEST: Vienna 2026 – The Song Contest Magazine w/ Eurovision winner JJ, 2026 Austrian representative Cosmó and 2026 Swiss representative Veronica Fusaro.
- May 12 – 18:50 CEST: Vienna 2026 – The Songs, the acts of the first semi-final will be presented along with the songs from Germany and Italy.
- May 12 – 20:15 CEST – Mr. Song Contest proudly presents, Andi Knoll reveals his favourite songs from the first semi-final and will be joined by Zoë, Cesár Sampson, and Eurovision contestant Cosmó, who offer their expert opinions.
Cosmó won Vienna Calling – Wer singt für Österreich? and will represent Austria on home soil in Vienna with “Tanzscheine”. He will compete in the Grand Final on Saturday, 16 May. In addition, he will also perform during the second semi-final on Tuesday, 12 May. You can find out more about Cosmó below:

Austria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. Bob Martin represented the country on their debut but finished in last place, scoring just 3 points. Austria has won the contest three times, the first being in 1966 when Udo Jürgens performed “Merci, Chérie”. It was 48 years later when Austria won again in 2014, when Conchita Wurst performed “Rise Like a Phoenix”, scoring a total of 290 points. Austria’s third win came in 2025, when JJ sang “Wasted Love” and scored 436 points.
