SBS has announced that Courtney Act and Tony Armstrong are the new commentators for Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Australian broadcaster has announced that Logie-award winning presenter Tony Armstrong and icon Courtney Act will be commentating for SBS at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025. The two will be live from the St. Jakobshalle as they bring the Eurovision Song Contest live to viewers in Australia.
Courtney Act returns to Eurovision for a second year having been the backstage correspondent at the 2024 contest and having competed in the Australian selection for Eurovision in 2019. While Armstrong is best known for presenting TV shows on ABC, NITV and SBS, and his Gold Logie award nomination in 2024.
Courtney Act said:
“I was not prepared for how much I would enjoy Eurovision last year- and this year I’m back, now with everyone’s favourite IT man, Tony Armstrong (who I can confirm is just as delightful and dashing in real life as you’d expect). I’ll be offering my commentary expertise on every costume reveal, key change, wind machine and pyro moment I know Switzerland will deliver. Tony’s already taught me a thing or two about team sport energy, and I’ll be returning the favour with a crash course in camp!”
Tony Armstrong added:
“I’m so excited to jump into the world of Eurovision with the one and only Courtney Act who has already taken me under her wing. I’m definitely not envious of her brilliance and my jealousy won’t make it on screen I promise. Eurovision holds such a special place in so many hearts around the world. I look forward to being a part of the spectacle along with Courtney!”
Go-Jo was announced as the country’s representative in Basel on February 25 by the Australian broadcaster SBS, after they had previously confirmed an internal selection. “Milkshake Man” is set to open the second semi-final on May 15.

Australia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 as part of celebrations marking 60 years of the Eurovision Song Contest. The broadcaster SBS has broadcast Eurovision in Australia since 1983. Australia’s best result to date came in 2016 Australia when Dami Im, with the song “Sound of Silence,” finished in 2nd place in the final scoring 511 points, just 23 points away from victory.
