Tonight: 🇬🇱 Pan-ArcticVision 2024

Tonight Pan-ArcticVision 2024 will take place live from Nuuk, Greenland with nine acts competing.

The second edition of Pan-ArcticVision takes place this evening live from the culture centre Katuaq in Greenland’s capital Nuuk. Nine artists from across the Arctic will be performing for viewers across the high north.

The contest is loosely based on the Eurovision Song Contest and was first held in 2023. The contest aims to bring together the peoples of the Arctic. All of the artists competing in the contest were chosen by cultural organisations across the Arctic.

This year’s contest sees the debuts of Iceland and Nunavut in the competition, while Yukon and Norðurland (North Iceland) are not represented. The acts and the regions/peoples represented tonight are:

The audience across the globe will determine the results of the contest. At the 2023 contest, the following titles were selected by the public:

  • The place in the Arctic that really needs a price and deserves to host the next edition of the Pan-ArcticVision
  • Most revolutionary song
  • The song that gives the most feeling of Community and Togetherness
  • Most ARCTIC song

Nina Sikkersoq Bibi Kristoffersen will host the show, Nina is a dancer, artist and campaigner who grew up in the Greenlandic capital and will now guide viewers through the final of the contest.

Nuija will be returning to the contest stage as an interval act, having taken victory for Greenland last year in Vadso, Norway. Nuija will be performing “Takutillara” live for audiences across the Arctic.
