Emil Kárlsen is the latest artist to be announced as competing in Pan-ArcticVision 2024 in Nuuk, Greenland.
Sápmi/Northern Norway is set to be represented by Emil Kárlsen at the second edition of Pan-ArcticVision. Emil has been releasing music since 2021 when he released his debut album Nagirvárrái. The singer who performs in Sámi is from Omasvuotna/Storjord and is also an actor, songwriter and producer.
For Pan-ArcticVision in October, Emil will be joined on stage in Nuuk by bass player Espen Mortensen. At the first edition of the contest, Northern Norway was awarded the prize for ‘The most Revolutionary Song 2023’.
Pan-ArcticVision 2024
The Capital of Greenland, Nuuk is set to host the second edition of Pan-ArcticVision on October 12. The aim of Pan-ArcticVision is to unite communities across the Arctic region through music. The competition is open to singers from:
- Alaska – United States
- Faroe Islands – Ester Skála
- Greenland
- Iceland
- Nunavut – Canada – Iva and Angu
- Northern Finland
- Northern Norway – Emil Kárlsen
- Northern Sweden – Mirja Palo
- Russian Arctic Exiles
- Yukon – Canada
