Armenia is returning to Eurovision Young Musicians, with AMPTV launching the search for its representative.
Armenia is set to compete in Eurovision Young Musicians 2024 in Norway, returning to the competition for the first time since 2012. AMPTV has launched an open application process to find its representative for the competition.
Applications for the Armenian selection process are open until January 25 and open to Armenian citizens or those living in the country for the past 2 years. Participants must be aged between 12 and 21 as of August 17, 2024.
The selection will be held over multiple rounds. The first round will determine the performers invited to the second round of auditions, where the best participants will be invited to perform on the First Channel. The winner will represent Armenia in Norway this August.
Armenia has previously competed once in Eurovision Young Musicians. In 2012, Armenia was one of three countries that made their debut in the competition. Narek Kazazyan performed the Kanon in Vienna, he finished 3rd in the Final.
Eurovision Young Musicians 2024
Eurovision Young Musicians 2024 will be held in the city of Bodø. Bodø which will be the European Capital of Culture is playing host to a Eurovision event for the first time, while Young Musicians returns to Norway for the first time since 2000.
The twenty-first edition of the contest will be held on August 17. To date, seven countries have confirmed their participation in the contest:

The competition for musicians between the ages of 12 and 21 and has been held since 1982, as the first spin-off contest of the Eurovision Song Contest. The event celebrated its twentieth edition in 2022 when Montpellier, France hosted the competition.
Over the twenty editions of the competition, a total of forty-two countries have competed across the history of the competition. Norway has competed in nineteen out of the twenty contests, tied with Austria. Austria is the most successful country having won 5 editions and competed in 15 finals.
