Circus Mircus has performed “Lock Me In”, their entry for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, live for the first time.
This evening, during Israel Calling, Circus Mircus gave their first live performance of “Lock Me In”, the song that they will take to the Eurovision Song Contest for Georgia. You can watch the live performance here at 3 minutes and 30 seconds.
Circus Mircus will sing “Lock Me In” in 5th position in the second semi-final on 12th May.
Who are Circus Mircus?
Circus Mircus is a rock band from Georgia. The bandmembers’ identities are currently unknown, but the group describes themselves as:
“A movement that brings together dozens of professionals from different fields to create an unprecedented audio-visual experience.”
The band was formed in 2020, made up of three circus academy dropouts. Circus Mircus were internally selected by Georgian broadcaster GPB last November, and will represent their country at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest with their song “Lock Me In”.

Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, they were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points, the song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Their best result was a 9th place in both 2010 and 2011. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut, this was in 2009 when they had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked for Georgia to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
