Armenia: Karina Ignatyan To Be Joined By Four Dancers at Junior Eurovision

Karina Ignatyan is set to be joined by four dancers for her performance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland.

Armenia’s Karina Ignatyan has revealed that she will be joined by four dancers for her performance at next weeks Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The singer has worked with award winning Armenian choreographer Vika Martirosyan, for her performance at the competition.

Karina was selected to represent Armenia at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest after she won Depi Mankakan Evratesil 2019. Her song “Colours Of Your Dream” was written and composed by Taras Demchuk, Avet Barseghyan and Margarita Doroshevish. Avet has previously written the Armenian Junior entries in 2010, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

Armenia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, and have had 10 entries to date. The country is one of the most successful in the history of the contest, placing in the top 3 on 7 occasions, and winning once in 2010. Their victory came from Vladimir Arzumanyan with his song “Mama”, which received 120 points. Armenia then went on to host the contest on home soil in Yerevan in 2011. Their debut was almost as successful, as Arevik and their song “Erazanq” was just 1 point off the winning score.
