Moldova: “Stay” Official Music Video Released

The official music video for Moldova’s entry for Eurovision 2019 “Stay” has been released today.

The music video for “Stay” by Anna Odobescu has been released today. The video was filmed by Oleg & Ina Butnaru, with the video produced by Butnaru Films Production. The reveal of the music video comes just over  a week and a half after Anna won the Moldovan national selection in Chisinau.

Anna Odobescu will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer who was born in 1991 had previously attempted to represent Moldova at the contest in 2018, she finished 5th with the song agony.

Anna is no stranger to representing Moldova internationally. She previously represented Moldova at Slavianski Bazaar, the contest has been a stepping stone for many singers who have gone on to compete at Eurovision.

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. In 2005 Moldova debuted in the contest alongside Bulgaria, while that year Hungary also returned to the contest having been absent since 1998. Moldova was in its worse run of results in their history in the contest, having failed to make it to the final between 2014 and 2016. Moldova finished 3rd at the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine marking the best result to date for the country.
