Dancing Israel has been revealed as the theme behind the postcards that will be played before each of the performances at Eurovision 2019.
KAN has announced that Dancing Israel is the theme behind the postcards for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The postcards will take viewers from across the globe on a journey across Israel, taking them to the countries best locations.
The postcards will connect the sites and landscapes of Israel with dance, with each postcard featuring different styles of dance. In each postcard the representative of the nation will join the dancers in dancing in the setting for the postcard.
Featured in each of the postcards will be dancers Stefan, Anna Aronov, Dana Frieder, Or Kahlon, Idan Sharabi, Batsheva Dance Company, Rona Lee Shimon, the Israeli Ballet and the Artistic Swimming Team.
The Director of the Postcard shoot will be Keren Wisdom, who filmed the music video for last years winning song ‘Toy’. The postcards will then be produced by Gustavo Productions.
Tel Aviv will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Centre) on May 14, 16 and 18 2019. After receiving bids from several cities across Israel, the final two remaining candidate cities were Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. KAN recommended Tel Aviv to the Reference Group.
