The German Vote Is Broken Down

Germany have today released how their Jury voted during the final and the 2nd semi final. Let’s have a look at the 2nd Semi Final first:

Jury:

  • 12 – Sweden
  • 10 – Estonia
  • 8 – Slovenia
  • 7 – Serbia
  • 6 – The Netherlands
  • 5 – Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • 4 – Slovakia
  • 3 – Croatia
  • 2 – Malta
  • 1 – Portugal

Interestingly 6 out of the 10 countries the jury vote for did not make it to the final. So let’s see what happens when the votes are combined with the public:

  • 12 – Sweden
  • 10 – Serbia
  • 8 – The Netherlands
  • 7 – Estonia
  • 6 – Turkey
  • 5 – Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • 4 – Slovenia
  • 3 – Portugal
  • 2 – Bulgaria
  • 1 – Croatia

So Serbia was more popular with the public than the juries when the votes are combined. Turkey got 6 points through the televote alone with Bulgaria getting 2 points. The public and jury also agreed on Sweden and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Croatia was the last country to get through on both jury and televote.

Now onto the Final, let’s look at the jury first:

  • 12 – Sweden
  • 10 – Estonia
  • 8 – Iceland
  • 7 – Denmark
  • 6 – Albania
  • 5 – Serbia
  • 4 – Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • 3 – Spain
  • 2 – Italy
  • 1 – Ireland

Now let’s look at the combined vote:

  • 12 – Sweden
  • 10 – Serbia
  • 8 – Turkey
  • 7 – Russia
  • 6 – Albania
  • 5 – Denmark
  • 4 – Estonia
  • 3 – Iceland
  • 2 – Italy
  • 1 – Greece

So Serbia once again did better when the public televote was included in the results. Turkey was the highest rating country on pure televote, Russia and Greece also got through on just the televote. Spain and Ireland fail to score points from the public so do not feature in the combined vote.
