Portugal: 2012 Jury Voting Revealed At Last

An Interesting Jury Vote

ESCPortugal have managed to obtain a break down of how Portugal voted a Eurovision this year with access to how the jury’s voted. So let’s have a look at the 2nd Semi Final first, here is the jury vote:

  • 12 – Estonia
  • 10 – Serbia
  • 8 – Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • 7 – Slovakia
  • 6 – Sweden
  • 5 – Georgia
  • 4 – Croatia
  • 3 – Malta
  • 2 – Belarus
  • 1 – Slovenia

So the jury allocated their points to 5 out of the 10 qualifiers from semi final 2. Slovakia was the highest ranked non qualifier with 7 points from the Portuguese jury. Georgia did incredibly well for the song that it was. A disappointing 6 points from the Jury for Loreen. Now let’s look at the combined vote:

  • 12 – Estonia
  • 10 – Sweden
  • 8 – Serbia
  • 7 – Lithuania
  • 6 – Bulgaria
  • 5 – Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • 4 – Slovakia
  • 3 – Norway
  • 2 – Ukraine
  • 1 – Georgia

So the public gave points to Lithuania, Bulgaria, Norway and Ukraine whilst the jury gave them no points at all. The public agreed with the jury on Estonia, however the public disagreed with the jury on Sweden and allocated them 10 points in the end. Bulgaria was the highest televote only song not to get through.

So now onto the final, lets see how the jury voted:

  • 12 – Spain
  • 10 – Germany
  • 8 – Estonia
  • 7 – Serbia
  • 6 – Italy
  • 5 – Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • 4 – France
  • 3 – Albania
  • 2 – Iceland
  • 1 – Russia

So shockingly Sweden do not appear, it seems Loreen choking on snow during the performance did kill her jury vote. Russia however charmed the Portuguese jury for 1 point. Spain gets the 12 from the jury. So here is the combined vote:

  • 12 – Spain
  • 10 – Germany
  • 8 – Russia
  • 7 – Estonia
  • 6 – Moldova
  • 5 – Serbia
  • 4 – Romania
  • 3 – Sweden
  • 2 – Italy
  • 1 – Ukraine

Interestingly the public and jury agree on Spain and Germany and that is where it ends. The public really went for Russia, Moldova, Romania, Sweden and Ukraine. From the jury vote France, Albania and Iceland all do not feature ion the combined vote.
