YLE have today announced the rules for the 2013 UMK competition. Here are the rules in brief:
- The lead singer and one of the writers must be a Finnish citizen.
- Singers must be 16 by the date of the 1st Semi Final of Eurovision 2013.
- Entrants are not allowed to take part in other countries National Finals
The full rules are here in Finnish. The dates when you can enter songs are from the 3rd to the 12th of September. The 12 taking part in the live selection will be announced on December 3rd. The National Final will take place in February 2013, the exact dates have not been announced.
