Tonight Sámi Grand Prix 2026 takes place live from Kautokeino, with twelve acts competing across two categories.
The thirty-sixth edition of Sámi Grand Prix 2026 takes place this evening with artists competing in the Joik and Song Contest. A total of 45 submissions were received for this years contest, with twelve going through to compete in two categories. Isalill Kolpus and Ánte Siri are the hosts for tonights show.
Sámi Grand Prix has been held annually since 1990 as part of the Sámi Easter Festival in Kautokeino in Norway. The region of Sápmi covers northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia, and has a population of between 80-100,000 Sámi. To date the most successful nation in the contest is Norway.
The song contest participants are:

- Han Helge & Han Håkon – “Ingen andre”
- Caroline J Kuhmunen – “Dorvobáiki”
- Alo Joks – “Mun lean”
- Kalle Urheim – “Duottara bárnne / Tundra’s Son”
- ELLINOR – “Du Dušši”
The joik contest participants are:
- Iŋgor Nila – “Mari-Ann”
- Sárá Nilut – “Ayla Gáren Audhild”
- Ánte Niillas Bongo – “Nášša álddut”
- Lars-Ánte Kuhmunen – “Nils Issát”
- Per Bueng – “Liv Slotte”
- Biret Risten Sara og Rávná Anti Guttorm – “Heajat”
The winner will be determined by a combination of jury voting and public voting from audiences in Finland, Norway and Sweden via the Melodifestivalen App. Ailu Valle and Amoc are the performers who will take to the stage during the interval.
