The final of A Dal 2026 took place tonight in Budapest, with Re Va Dame beating eleven other acts to victory.
The final was held in two phases. In the first phase, all twelve acts performed with the jury voting on the performances. The four acts that received the highest number of votes progressed to the super final. In the super final, the public alone selected the winner.
The results of the first round were:
- BariLaci – “Talán” (Maybe) – 28 points
- dorimoczi – “szuzi” (Susy) – 28 points
- Re Va Dame – “Veled álmodtam” (I dreamed of you) – 22 points
- Timi Arany – “Kígyó” (Snake) – 10 points
- Vintage Dolls – “A ligetben” (In the grove) – 6 points
- Regina Zabos & Káté – “Rád vártam” (I was waiting for you) – 6 points
- FIRKIN – “Csak annyit mondanék” (I would just say) – 4 points
- Évi Novák – “Nem tartozom senkinek” (I don’t belong to anyone) – 4 points
- Karmen Pál-Baláž & Olivér Patocska – “Régi szép mesék” (Old beautiful tales) – 4 points
- Dörgő Mocskonyi – “Mindenkinek jár egy kis Rock n Roll” (Everyone deserves a little rock’n’roll) – 0 points
- RICHMAN ORCHESTRA – “Az idő elmúlt” (Time has passed) – 0 points
The jurors who voted during tonight’s final were:
- Captain Trap – Lead singer of the band Tha Shudras
- Bebe – Singer and is the lead singer of Melody Maker and was the former lead singer for Back II Back
- Szandi – Holds the record for the youngest platinum-selling artist in Hungary and has been performing since 1989
- György Ferenczi – singer and musician known for rock and blues music, and is a recipient of a number of Hungarian music industry awards.
The results of the Super Final were:

- Re Va Dame – “Veled álmodtam” (I dreamed of you) – Winner
- Timi Arany – “Kígyó” (Snake)
The winner will record an album and music video to the value of 10 million forints.
A Dal was previously developed as the Hungarian national selection show for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. Since Hungary’s withdrawal from the Eurovision Song Contest, it has been a standalone competition.
