Tonight, Portugal kicks off its selection for Eurovision 2026, while in Lithuania and Sweden continue their search.

Eurovizija.LT 2026, the Lithuanian national selection, continues tonight with the fifth heat. Eight acts will be taking to the stage competing for two places in the final and a place in the wildcard round.
The eight artists competing tonight are:
- Hansanova – “Lumina”
- Lokytė – “Vilko akių” (Wolf eyes)
- Matas Ligeika – “Svetimi” (Strangers)
- Il Senso – “Brave Enough”
- Jokūbas Jankauskas – “Shine”
- Walls of Water – “Unshakable”
- Aika – “Ragana” (Witch)
- Lolita Zero – “Salve in meum mundum” (Welcome to my world)
The results will be determined by 50% jury voting and 50% public voting. The top two artists will qualify for the final, while the third placed act will go into the wildcard round.
On the jury for Heat Five are:
- Ramūnas Zilnys – LRT Popular Music Editor
- Kamilė Gudmonaitė – Director and Performer
- Jievaras Jasinskis – Composer
- Gerūta Griniūtė – Pianist
- Kamilė Tumelytė-Kamílé Le Trix – Presenter of LRT OPUS
One change to the Eurovizija.LT format is the introduction of a wildcard round. A wildcard round has been introduced for all acts that place third in their heat. The public will be able to vote online once for the act they want to see in the final, and the act with the highest number of votes will secure a spot in the final.

🇸🇪 Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2026 – Heat Four – 20:00 CET

Sweden’s search for the 70th Eurovision Song Contest continues this evening as Melodifestivalen 2026 travels to Malmö.
Heat Four of Melodifestivalen 2026 takes place this evening at the Malmö Arena in Malmö. Six artists are competing for two places in the final and a place in the ‘Final Qualifier’. Gina Dirawi and Hampus Nessvold are hosting tonight’s show.
The six competing acts are:
- Cimberly – “Eternity“
- Timo Räisänen – “Ingenting är efter oss” (Nothing is behind us)
- Meira Omar – “Dooset daram” (I love you)
- Felix Manu – “Hatar att jag älskar dig” (I hate that I love you)
- Erika Jonsson – “Från landet” (From the countryside)
- Smash Into Pieces – “Hollow“
The results of the show will be determined across two rounds of voting. In the first round, the act that receives the most votes will qualify directly for the final. The second finalist will be the act that receives the highest points total. These points are formed of the age groups voting, with voting totals converted into 12, 10, 8, 7, 6 and 5 points. The act with the third highest number of votes cast will go through to the ‘Final Qualifier’ to compete again for a place in the final.

🇵🇹 Portugal: Festival da Canção 2026 – Semi-Final One – 22:00 CET

Portugal’s search for the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest commences. Eight acts are competing for their place in the final. The show will be hosted by Vasco Palmeirim, while Catarina Maia and Alexandre Guimarães will host the Green Room.
Tonight’s show comes live from the Valentim de Carvalho studios in Lisbon. The eight acts competing tonight and the running order are as follows:
- Dinis Mota – “Jurei” (I swore)
- Nunca Mates o Mandarim – “Fumo” (Smoke)
- Evaya – “Sprint”
- André Amaro – “Dá-me a tua mão” (Give me your hand)
- Bateu Matou – “Nos teus olhos” (In your eyes)
- Marquise – “Chuva” (Rain)
- AGRIDOCE – “Onde quero estar” (Where I want to be)
- Mario Marta – “Pertencer” (Belong)
Voting will be held over two phases during the semi-finals. In the first round, the public and jury will vote. The four acts that have the highest combined scores will qualify directly for the final. In the second round, public voting reopens, with the artist who receives the highest number of votes in the second round securing the last place in the final.
The five jurors who will determine 50% of the results in the first round of voting are:
- Diana Vilarinho – Participant in Festival da Canção 2025
- Joana Espadinha – Participant in Festival da Canção 2018 and 2022
- Lena d’Água – Participant in Festival da Canção 2017
- Mário Rui Vieira
- Tó Cruz – Represented Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest 1995
