De Broers Roo, who will represent Drenthe at the Regio Songfestival 2025, have performed a musical special ahead of this weeks competition.
As the Regio Songfestival draws ever closer, De Broers Roo have taken part in a special show showcasing their music. The 30-minute special sees the band perform songs from their back catalog, as well as discuss their music. You can watch the show in full on demand on RTV Drenthe here.
De Broers Roo will represent Drenthe at the Regio Songfestival 2025 with their old “Olde Jetta”. The duo won the first edition of the Dreents language song contest Pop in ‘t plat, which was held in June. Ten acts competed in the show with a combination of jury and public voting selecting the winner. “Olde Jetta” is about a holiday that the brothers went on 25 years ago to Terschelling in their parents old Volkswagen Jetta.
The Regio Songfestival 2025 will take place on November 1 at the Stadstheater Arnhem. The show will be hosted by Jochem van Gelder, Linda Geerdink and Rik Bronkhorst with thirteen songs from across the Netherlands competing.

The Regio Song Contest is organised by all thirteen regional broadcasters and is made possible by Buma Cultuur, AVROTROS and K.F Hein Fonds. The show will be live on all thirteen broadcasters plus NPO 1 Extra and YouTube from 20:30 CET.
