CyBC, the Cypriot national broadcaster, has confirmed its participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Along with announcing their participation, CyBC announced details of the Cypriot selection for Junior Eurovision 2025. The selection will consist of two selections; one to select the artist and one to select the song. The application windows for both selections are currently open and will remain open until September 8.
For the artist selection, the following rules apply:
- Artists must be aged between 9 and 14 on December 13, 2025.
- Artists must be Cypriot citizens.
- Artists must submit a photo of themselves, a cover version of any previously released song and solemn declaration of a guardian.
- Artists may only submit one application.
A selection committee will then assess all of the applicants’ vocal abilities, stage presence and ability to perform a song. A number of artists will be then invited to a live audition. A 5-member jury (3 adults and 2 children) will award points to the artists in Eurovision style (12, 10, 8-1). The artist with the most points will represent Cyprus in Tbilisi. In case of a tie, the artist who received the most sets of 12 points will be declared the winner. The Cypriot entry will be selected through a separate song selection.
The application forms and full rules can be found here.
