“Strong Girl Summer”, the last of four songs competing in Junior Songfestival 2025, has been released.
Coco & Tove’s song for the Dutch Junior Eurovision selection, “Strong Girl Summer” was released today. The song was written and composed by Julian Vahle and Roxy Dekker. Vahle has composed several past Junior Songfestival entries, including “Mee” (Junior Songfestival 2020), “Niet wat vrienden down” (Junior Songfestival 2021) and “Because I Know” (Junior Songfestival 2022). Dekker finished second in Junior Songfestival 2019 as part of 6Times with “End of Time”. She has since gone on to have a successful recording career.
The acts competing to represent the Netherlands in Junior Eurovision 2025 are:
- ICONIC – “Don’t Touch”
- Level Up – “Rule the World”
- Meadow – “Freeze”
- Coco & Tove – “Strong Girl Summer”
They will compete in the live final of Junior Songfestival 2025 on September 20 in the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, where the winner will represent the Netherlands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi.
Stay Tuned represented the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Madrid with the song “Music”. The Netherlands placed 10th scoring 91 points. They were 10th with the jury, scoring 34 points, and joint 7th in the online vote, receiving 57 points.

The Netherlands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest
The Netherlands debuted at the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and is the only country to have taken part in every edition to date. To date, the country has only won the competition once. Their only victory came in 2009, when Ralf Mackenbach performed “Click Clack”, scoring a total of 121 points. This was just 5 points more than runners-up Armenia and Russia. The Netherlands narrowly lost the contest in 2011, when Rachel performed “Teenager”. She missed out on victory by 5 points. The Netherlands’ worst result came in 2021 when Ayana finished in 19th place out of 19 competing countries.
