Remember Monday have released a statement following their performance in the Grand Final of Eurovision 2025.
The United Kingdom’s entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, Remember Monday, have today released a statement following their performance in the Grand Final on Saturday night in Basel, Switzerland.
In a statement, the group made up of Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull and Charlotte Steele reflected on their time in the contest and said:
WOW – what a ride! Three best mates walked onto the world’s biggest music stage and came out with a Top 10 Jury score, massive streaming numbers, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Performing at Eurovision was one of the most surreal and emotional moments of our lives. The love we’ve felt from fans, our incredible team, and everyone who streamed, voted, and believed in us has been overwhelming.”
The group also spoke of their future plans and of the opportunity that Eurovision has given them, adding:
This is just the beginning for Remember Monday. We’ve got new music coming your way, a UK & Ireland headline tour this year, a summer packed with festivals, and we’ll be hitting the stage at Wembley Stadium for the Summertime Ball… no big deal!
We’re so grateful for the platform, the media support, and every single new fan who’s joined us on this wild journey. Eurovision? Completed it. Let’s go!”
The United Kingdom’s Remember Monday and their song, “What The Hell Just Happened?” finished in 19th place with 88 points.

The United Kingdom debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 and holds the record for the most consecutive appearances in the contest. To date, the UK has won the contest a total of five times, with their first victory coming in 1967 and their latest in 1997. The UK holds the record for the most second-place finishes in the contest, having been runner-up a total of 16 times. Since 2000 the UK has finished within the top 10 only three times, this being in 2002 with Jessica Garlick, 2009 with Jade Ewen and 2022 with Sam Ryder who finished 2nd in Turin.
I really like our song and genuinely thought it was deserving of points from the public, but I will never understand the voting at Eurovision except Politics is definitely involved. I cannot believe that Israel was allowed to participate, especially as Russia have been excluded and had I been in a position of authority I would have withdrawn from the competition in protest of their inclusion in the Contest!
