Frederik Rydman has been announced as the Creative Director for Louane’s performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025.
Frederik Rydman who has previously staged Eurovision 2015 winner “Heroes”, 2024 winner “The Code” and 2023 runner-up “Cha Cha Cha” will be staging the French performance for Eurovision 2025. Frederik is a Swedish choreographer and dancer, and has been the Creative Director for the Finnish Eurovision selection since 2022.
Louane has been promoting her participation in the contest internationally this weekend. The singer was one of thirty acts competing in this year’s contest to travel to Amsterdam to perform at Eurovision in Concert 2025.
Louane is set to perform “Maman” for France in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland on May 17.

France was one of seven countries to participate in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Since then they have participated in every contest aside from 1974 and 1982. Their withdrawal in 1974 was caused by the death of President Georges Pompidou, while 1982’s withdrawal was a result of TF1 declining to enter the contest. France has won the contest on five occasions, the most recent being in 1977 when Marie Myriam performed “L’oiseau et l’enfant”. France’s best result of the 21st century came in 2021 when Barbara Pravi finished second in Rotterdam.
