Shkodra Elektronike, the Albanian representatives for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, have done promotional activities in Italy.
Beatriçe Gjergji, one half of Shkodra Elektronike, did an interview with the local branch of Rai in Veneto in northeastern Italy, her adopted home province. Beatriçe arrived in Italy with her family when she was just a few months old. She was raised in Magione in central Italy, where she also studied. Afterwards, she moved to Auronzo di Cadore in Veneto with her husband Marcello, who is also a musician. When she isn’t performing, Beatriçe teaches singing.
Beatriçe spoke about her identity, as she holds both Italian and Albanian citizenship.
Like many second-generation children, I think that I feel very European. I can feel like my roots aren’t just in one place but in many places.
Beatriçe also revealed that Shokdra Elektronike’s debut album is ready but they had to push it back because of Eurovision. Once Eurovision is over, the duo will release their album and go on tour, which will include dates in Italy.
Shkodra Elektronike will represent Albania at Eurovision 2025 in Basel, having secured their spot by winning Festivali i Këngës 63. The music video for their entry “Zjerm” will be released soon. The duo will be promoting their entry across Europe ahead of the contest in Basel, with performances planned for pre-parties in Madrid, Oslo, Manchester and London.
Shkodra Elektronike will perform in the second half of the first semi-final on May 13.

Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest
Albania made its debut at the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2004, the same year the televised Semi-Final was introduced to the competition. Albania succeeded in their first showing with Anjeza Shahini’s “The Image of You”, sailing through the semi-final in 4th place and eventually landing in a respectable 7th place at the grand final. Albania has competed in the Eurovision Song Contest every year since its debut. Since the success of their first appearance, they have reached the grand final a further ten times. They bettered their 2004 score in 2012 with Rona Nishliu’s song “Suus”, which finished the contest in fifth place with 146 points. This was their first time reaching the top 5 and their best placing to date.
