Over 3,000 people have signed up to date to be a volunteer at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland.

One month on from opening applications to volunteer at Eurovision 2025, over 3,000 people have signed up. Speaking to Swissinfo, the Event Manager for Basel, Beat Läuchli explained that he is encouraged by the enthusiasm that Basel has shown to date for hosting the competition.

In the interview, Mr. Läuchli confirmed that plans were underway around the supporting events at the contest. The city of Basel is planning to invite a number of former Eurovision participants to perform at different public viewing events across the city. Further details of Basel’s hosting plans will be revealed over the coming months.

The city of Basel made an open call volunteers to take on a number of roles at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025, such as stewarding in the fan areas and accompanying national delegations.

German speakers are desirable, but French, Italian, English and other languages are to also be considered. Those wishing to apply for recruitment can access an online application form here.

Eurovision 2025

Switzerland is hosting Eurovision 2025 after Nemo won the 2024 contest with their song “The Code”. “The Code” scored 365 jury points and 226 televote points, scoring 591 points to win the contest overall and bring the Eurovision trophy to Switzerland for the first time since 1988.

Basel will host the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 13, 15 and 17.
