Fegebart will represent Friesland at the Regio Songfestival 2024 having won the Province’s selection Liet 2024.
The band Fegebart has taken victory in the Frisian language song contest Liet which took place on Thursday evening. They competed with the song “Bingojûn”, which tells the story of a bingo night getting out of hand. They received 46 points, well ahead of the second placed act.

As part of Liet 2024 they also received the Gryt van Duinen text prize for the best use of the Frisian language in songwriting. Fegebart will represent Friesland this November at the 2nd Regio Songfestival.
Regio Songfestival 2024
Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht will be the venue for the second edition of the Regio Songfestival on November 9. The Province of Limburg is hosting the contest having won the first edition last year in Utrecht.
The competition is styled on the Eurovision Song Contest, RTV Utrecht hosted the first edition. Songs are performed in Dutch or the language of their region. The Regio Song Contest is organised by all thirteen regional broadcasters and is made possible by Buma Cultuur, AVROTROS and K.F Hein Fonds.
