Two broadcasters in Germany will be airing the final of Let the Peoples Sing 2024 for listeners.
WDR 3 and HR 2 will be airing the final of Let the Peoples Sing 2024 from London for listeners in Germany from 20:03 CET. Susanne Herzog will provide commentary for listeners on both stations, Susanne has presented on WDR 3 since 2012.
Germany is not among the countries participating in the final of the 2024 contest however has been an active participant since the 1970s. Germany has hosted the contest ten times, most recently in Munich in 2015. The country has also won four times most recently in 1990 represented by Konzertchor Darmstadt.
Let the Peoples Sing 2024
The 47th edition will be held on October 6, 2024. For the first time, the finalists will be competing live from their own countries. Each choir will perform for 8 to 10 minutes, with the performances assessed by an eight-member jury voting from the BBC in London.

Norway is the most successful nation in the contest having won eight times, 1 more time than Hungary. Barbaros from Denmark won the contest the last time it was held in Barcelona, Spain in 2019.
