🇵🇱 Poland: Further Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior 2024 Details Revealed

Further details of the jurors and the format of Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior 2024 have been revealed ahead of the first episode.

Marcin Kolczyński has been revealed as the new Director of the Polish selection process for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, with Artur Orzech expected to return as host of the contest for the first time since 2021. Twenty-one singers are due to take part in Szansa na Sukces: Eurowizja Junior, with the winner representing Poland in Madrid this November.

In addition, the themes of the three Semi-Finals have been announced. The episodes and themes are:

  • Episode One – September 8 – Latest Hits
  • Episode Two  – September 15 – Eurovision Hits
  • Episode Three – September 23 – Casting Songs

Among the jurors that have been revealed for the contest, and will select the singer going through to the final in each episode are:

  • Luna – Competed in Eurovision 2024
  • Mieczysław Szcześniak – Competed in Eurovision 1999
  • Sara James – Finished 2nd at Junior Eurovision 2021
  • Maja Krzyżewska – Competed in Junior Eurovision 2023 finishing 6th
  • Viki Gabor – Winner of Junior Eurovision 2019

Maja Krzyżewska represented Poland in Nice with “I Just Need a Friend”. She finished sixth with 124 points, giving Poland their best result since 2021.

Poland participated in the first Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two consecutive last-place finishes, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2016. From there on, Poland’s fortunes in the contest reversed resulting in Roksana Węgiel winning in 2018 with “Anyone I Want to Be”. In 2019, the contest was hosted in the Polish city of Gliwice. Viki Gabor won on home ground with “Superhero”, giving Poland a second consecutive victory.
