Kleine Zeitung reports that ORF will likely continue to use an internal selection to determine its participant for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Austria looks likely to continue its run of internally selecting its participant for the Eurovision Song Contest. Kleine Zeitung reports that ORF will use an internal selection again for the 2025 contest, Austria has not held a televised selection for Eurovision since 2016.
The Austrian newspaper reports that the trio AUT of Orda are interested in representing Austria at next years contest in Switzerland. They are stated to be meeting with Eberhard Forcher in June to discuss the matter, Eberhard has fronted the Austrian selection process for over a decade.
Kaleen has represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “We Will Rave”. She finished in 24th place, gaining 24 points.

Austria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. Bob Martin represented the country on their debut but finished in the last place scoring just 3 points. The country has gone on to finish last in the contest on 8 occasions. Austria has won the contest on two occasions, the first being in 1966 when Udo Jürgen performed “Merci, Cherie”. It was 48 years later when Austria won again when Conchita Wurst performed “Rise Like a Phoenix”, scoring a total of 290 points.
