An average of almost 1.2 million viewers in Austria tuned in to watch the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was the most watched programme on ORF 1 yesterday. The show was watched by an average of 1,185 million viewers, with 48% of the total viewing share. The peak in audience came when Kaleen performed, with 1.111 million viewers and market share of 52%. The voting sequence was followed by 972,000 viewers, with 57% of share.
Kaleen has represented Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 with “We Will Rave”. She finished in 24th place, gaining 24 points.

Austria debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. Bob Martin represented the country on their debut but finished in the last place scoring just 3 points. The country has gone on to finish last in the contest on 8 occasions. Austria has won the contest on two occasions, the first being in 1966 when Udo Jürgen performed “Merci, Cherie”. It was 48 years later when Austria won again when Conchita Wurst performed “Rise Like a Phoenix”, scoring a total of 290 points.
