With rehearsals underway for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023, we had the chance to talk to Anastasia and Ranina.

The group is made up of Anastasia Vasadze, who won Ranina 2023 to earn the right to represent Georgia at Junior Eurovision, along with Ranina 2022 finalists Nikoloz Kharati and Oto Bazerashvili. “Over the Sky” was written by Betkho and Mebo Nutsubidze, and produced by Giorgi Asanishvilia.
Junior Eurovision 2023
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice, France on November 26. This is the second time that France will play host to the contest, the first time being in 2021 in Paris. This year’s contest will be presented by Olivier Minne and Laury Thilleman.
A total of sixteen countries will take part in the contest. They are:

Georgia has won the contest on three occasions, making them the country with the most victories throughout the history of the contest. Georgia debuted in JESC in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Most recently in 2016, eleven-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song “Mzeo” in Valletta, and took the victory with 239 points.
