Emma Koning has won the Noord-Holland selection for the Regio Songfestival 2023, completing the line-up for the contest.
The line-up for the Regio Songfestival 2023 has been completed with Emma Koning winning the selection for Noord-Holland. The 22 year old singer won the support of the jury and will go on to represent her province in Utrecht next weekend. “Mag het licht nog één keer aan” is the song that Emma will perform for Noord-Holland, beating competition from two other finalists.
She was selected by a jury consisting of:
- Tom Jurriaans – TV reporter
- Danny van Tiggele – Performer and Producer
- Kay Koopmans – Talent Scout at NH Pop
The three finalists that competed in the Provinces selection were:
- Dean Presley – Kan niet wachten tot de zomer
- Het Verbondt – Digitale Serenade
- Emma Koning – Mag het licht nog één keer aan
Regio Songfestival 2023
The Regio Songfestival is being held for the second time this year between the 13 regional broadcasters of the Netherlands. The competition which will feature 13 artists, will be held in Utrecht at the Stadsschouwburg on November 4 from 20:30.
The competition is styled on the Eurovision Song Contest, RTV Utrecht is hosting the first edition, with the winner of the 2023 contest to host the 2024 edition. Songs will be performed in Dutch or the language of their region. The winner will be determined by a public vote, regional jury and professional jury.
Each broadcaster can choose how to select its participant in the competition, the following broadcasters will be competing:
