🇲🇩 Moldova: Song Submissions Open For Eurovision 2023 Selection Open

Teleradio-Moldova has opened its submissions window for the Moldovan selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.

TRM has opened the submissions window for the nation’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. Songs are now being accepted from today until January 16 at 17:00 local time.

The Moldovan selection will be held across three stages. In the first stage all submissions will be reviewed between January 25 and 28. Songs that meet the rules of the competition will be invited to live auditions.

The live audition stage will be held between January 28 and February 5 the auditions will be broadcast live on TV Moldova 2, with the qualifiers being selected by 100% jury voting. The ten participants that receive the highest scores will go through to the National Final.

The Moldovan national final will be held on a date between February 25 and March 5. The final will be broadcast live on TV Moldova 1 and online, with the winner being selected by 50% jury voting and 50% public voting.

Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers represented Moldova at Eurovision 2022 finishing in 7th place.

Moldova debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 when the contest was held in Kyiv, Ukraine. That year, Bulgaria also debuted in the contest and Hungary returned after a long absence since 1998. Moldova’s best result in the contest to date was 3rd place in 2017 for Sunstroke Project with “Hey Mamma!”, this was the second time the group had represented their country in Eurovision.
