Today Romania commences its selection for Eurovision 2023 as it opens its song submissions window.
Selecţia Naţională will be used once again to select the Romanian entry for Eurovision. The submission window for entries will be open today until December 11. All submissions must be sent to eurovision.romania@tvr.ro.
Songs can be submitted with or without a performer, in addition, both Romanian and non-Romanian songwriters and composers can submit songs. Any songs submitted without a performer will be assigned a performer by TVR in agreement with the authors of the song.
Between December 14 and 16, a jury of no more than seven members will evaluate the submissions and pick 12 for the live final. The finalists will be announced by December 17 at the latest.
The live final of Selecţia Naţională will take place on February 11. A combination of online voting and public voting will decide the Romanian entry for Liverpool. Selecţia Naţională has been used to select all Romanian entries to Eurovision except in 2021.
