Jörgen Stenberg and Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso are the two winners of the Sámi Grand Prix 2022 which was held on Saturday evening.
The 2022 edition of Sámi Grand Prix with the winners of the Joik and song contest determined. The winners of each contest were chosen by 50% public voting and 50% jury voting. For the first time the contest was broadcast live on NRK 1 and internationally in Sweden and Finland.
Competing in the Song Contest were:

- Norway – Aili Kathrine Wergeland Teigmo – Bajimusas
- Finland – Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso – Dovdameahttumii – Winner
- Norway – Ellinor Skartland and SOÁ – Áiggi Mielde
- Sweden – Mirja Palo – Hilla
- Norway – Elin & the Woods – Dát Vuovdi
Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso from Finland will now go on to compete in Liet International 2022 in Tondern/Tønder, Denmark, find out more about the contest here.

Jörgen Stenberg took victory in the Joik contest for the second time, having last won the contest in 1994. You can watch all the performances from both competitions here.
What is Sámi Grand Prix?
Sámi Grand Prix has been held annually since 1990 as part of the Sámi Easter Festival in Kautokeino in Norway. The show has two contests, one for new songs and one for joikers. The contest is organised by NRK Sápmi, which produces content for Sámi-language speakers. The winner of the song contest goes on to compete at Liet International.
The region of Sápmi covers northern Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia, and has a population of between 80-100,000 Sámi. To date the most successful nation in the contest is Norway.
