“Halo” by LUM!X feat. Pia Maria, the Austrian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 has been released.
The Austrian entry for Eurovision 2022 is now available to listen to on streaming services ahead of its radio premiere in the morning. The song received its first radio play at 07:40 CET on Ö3-Wecker, where the singers and DJ were guests on the show. The music video premiered on ORF 2 in the show “Guten Morgen Österreich” (Good morning Austria).
DJ LUM!X described the song as follows:
I see ‘Halo’ as a comeback song. A comeback from sitting at home for a whole generation. Now we can finally party again, visit clubs and have fun. The steady energy of ‘Halo’ provides the perfect soundtrack for it. From the songwriting to the production, everything is geared towards a party song that still captures the spirit of the times and has its place as pop music on the radio.
Pia Maria added that:
For me, the song is about strength. ‘Halo’ gives me an incredible amount of strength. It’s one of those songs that makes you feel like you can do anything.
Tonight they will be guests in the show “Hallo Österreich” with long-time Eurovision commentator Andi Knoll.
DJ LUM!X and Pia Maria will perform in the second half of the first semi-final on May 10.
