The Organising Committee that will determine whether Alina Pash will remain as the Ukrainian representative for Eurovision 2022 will meet tomorrow.
Mykola Chernotytskyi, Chairman of the NSTU Board, has confirmed the Organising Committee will meet tomorrow to determine their response to the current questions regarding Alina Pash and her participation.
Mr Chernotytskyi told Suspilne that:
I am very grateful to the State Border Guard Service for such a prompt response. We spoke with the press officer today, he assured that the Public Broadcaster will receive an official response to our request tomorrow by 11. The organizing committee will meet in the afternoon, Alina Pash will be invited appropriate decisions have been made.
In addition, as Chairman of the Board, I will apply to law enforcement agencies for forged documents that have been provided to the Public Broadcaster. In my opinion, fraud cannot be used to win and represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The public broadcaster is not a body that verifies the authenticity of documents. We proceed from good intentions and virtue. People provide us with a certificate from the border service on its form. We have already published this document on Sunday, there is this form, the address. The person who signed it is indeed currently working as this leader. I think that the people who forged this document should be held accountable after the case is resolved.
The Organizing Committee will decide on our presence (at Eurovision, – ed.). Therefore, in this situation, I would wait for the decision of the organising committee.
Mykola Chernotytskyi also confirmed to Suspilne that should Alina Pash be found to have broken the rules of Vidbir that they reserve the right to select another participant to represent Ukraine.

Ukraine first participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, when Oleksandr Ponomariov performed “Hasta la vista”. The following year Ruslana brought the country their first win with the song “Wild Dances”. It was a feat that would be replicated in 2016 by Jamala with her song “1944”; her emotionally charged song scored a record 534 points to take victory in Stockholm. In 2017 O.Torvald represented the country on home soil with the song “Time”. The group finished in 24th place, Ukraine’s worst result at the contest to date. Ukraine is the last remaining country with a 100% semi-final qualification record.
