Maléna will be joined by four dancers on stage in Paris.
Armenia’s Head of Delegation, David Tserunyan, has revealed that four dancers will join Maléna on stage at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. With the delegation travelling to Paris ahead of next week’s competition, David uploaded a video to his Instagram account which shows two female and two male dancers.
Who is Maléna?
Arpine Martoyan, known as Maléna, was born on 10th January 2007 in Yerevan, Armenia. She currently studies at the Sayat Nova Music School in Yerevan and is the daughter of actress Anna Manucharyan. Maléna is no stranger to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having participated in their 2018 national final with the song “Par”, finishing in 8th in the semi-final.

Armenia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, and have had 13 entries to date. The country is one of the most successful in the history of the contest, placing in the top 3 on 7 occasions, and winning once in 2010. Their victory came from Vladimir Arzumanyan with his song “Mama”, which received 120 points. Armenia then went on to host the contest on home soil in Yerevan in 2011. Their debut was almost as successful, as Arevik and their song “Erazanq” was just 1 point off the winning score.
