KiKA has announced its programming plans for Junior Eurovision 2021, with a week of special shows planned for the competition.
The German broadcaster KiKA has announced its broadcasting plans for the 19th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. A week of programming will kick off on December 13 with the first of two KiKA Live shows, one focused on Pauline and her music video.
From December 15 to 18 KiKA will provide updates on her preparations for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest from Paris. On the day of the contest KiKA is planning two additional broadcasts. One show in the morning, and a 20-minute build-up show live from Erfurt hosted by Ben.
The shows by day are:
- December 13 – KiKA LIVE: JESC – Making of Musikvideo IMAGINE US – 20:00 CET
- December 14 – KiKA LIVE: JESC – Die deutsche Teilnehmerin Pauline – 20:00 CET
- December 15 to 18 – Junior ESC Paris 2021 – Der Countdown – 20:00 CET
- December 19 – Check Eins: Junior ESC Paris 2021 – Der Countdown – 9:10 CET
- December 19 – Junior ESC – Der Countdown – 15:40 CET
- December 19 – Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 – 16:00 CET
Who is Pauline?
Pauline is twelve years old and comes from Wolken in Rhineland-Palatinate. As well as playing the drums and piano, she also enjoys listening to pop music and musicals. She has won several prizes at “Jugend musiziert” throughout her career.

Germany made their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2020. They were represented by Susan with the song “Stronger with You”, scoring 66 points. They were last in the jury vote receiving 27 points, the highest of which was 6 points from France. They also ended last in the online vote with 39 points.
