The fourth artists to feature in our Who Is series for the Junior Eurovision 2021 season are Ike and Kaya from Malta.
Ike Mizzi and Kaya Gouder Curmi are young singers from Malta, who finished in fourth place at this year’s Malta’s Got Talent. Ike has been performing for two years and has a keen interest in rap and hip hop. Kaya is a student of La Voix Studios and has competed in various festivals, including SanRemo Junior where she placed first in her category. Kaya also attempted to represent Malta at last year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest as a soloist.
The duo was chosen to represent Malta at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest following their victory at the Junior Malta Eurovision Song Contest final.
Ike and Kaya will sing “My Home” at the contest in Paris in a few months’ time.

Malta debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003 and has gone on to win the contest twice. In 2013 on their return to the competition in Kyiv, Gaia Cauchi won the competition with “The Start”, she was the first winner of a Eurovision event for Malta. In 2015 Destiny Chukunyere took victory in Sofia, Bulgaria with the song “Not My Soul”. Malta finished last at the 2005 contest in Belgium and the 2019 edition in Poland.
