Pauline has won Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris? and will represent Germany at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 with the song “Imagine Us”.

Junior ESC – Wer fährt nach Paris? took place tonight in the Central Club in Erfurt. The show was presented by Jessica Schöne and Ben Blümel. A jury was also on hand to provide feedback on each of the performances but had no voting power. The jury was formed of Gabriel Kelly, Selina Mour, and Hannah. Susan, last year’s German representative, appeared as a special guest.

Each of the three singers competing in the selection performed two potential entries from a choice of three. The winner was determined by 100% online voting. The first round determined the singer, while the second round determined the song.

Pauline won the first round of voting, while her song “Imagine Us” won the second round of voting.

The results of the show are as follows:

  • Pauline –  “Imagine Us” – 1st place
  • Emilie – “Imagine Us”
  • Marta – “Gut so”
  • Pauline – “Hausboot”
  • Emilie – “Gut so”

Who is Pauline?

Pauline is twelve years old and comes from Wolken. As well as playing the drums and piano, the singer also enjoys listening to pop music and musicals. She has won several prizes at “Jugend musiziert” throughout her career.

Germany finished last on their Junior Eurovision debut in 2020. Germany was represented by Susan with the song “Stronger with You” scoring 66 points. They were last in the jury vote receiving 27 points, the highest of which was 6 points from France. They also ended last in the online vote with 39 points.
