Andorra’s former Eurovision representatives have expressed their support in seeing the country return to the contest.
Andorra’s past Eurovision entrants have expressed their support for Susanne Georgi’s initiative to get the country back in the competition, having last competed in 2009. In an interview with Fan de Carpeta, five out of the six past Andorran entrants expressed their wish to see the country back at Eurovision.
In the interview Susanne Georgi revealed that she has been in contact with a number of delegations to understand how to bring Andorra back to Eurovision commenting:
I have a lot of contacts, for example with San Marino. In fact, the head of the delegation has come here. Throughout this process I have had many contacts with these small countries and in fact this year they have succeeded – San Marino, Cyprus, Malta, Iceland.
She went on to say that:
I think we need to have a very clear concept, how we are going to represent the country, who is going to write the song, who is going to sing the song. We have to be more clear that we are going to win or go to the final at least. We are really going to create our history and to let people know that there is a lot of talent here in Andorra.
RTVA the Andorran broadcaster has already stated to Eurofestivales that they are currently not looking at returning to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022. Susanne Georgi had previously stated she had a verbal agreement with the Andorran Government for the country to return.

Andorra made their debut appearance in 2004 and competed annually until the 2009 contest in Moscow. Andorra failed to qualify for the Grand Final at every contest they competed in. The nation’s best result came in 2007 when Anonymous finished 12th in the Semi-Final with “Salvem el món”, they were 11 points from a place in the final.
