Speaking on the latest episode of The Euro Trip podcast, North Macedonia’s 2017 entrant has revealed she would love to sing at the Eurovision Song Contest in the future.
In an interview to discuss the pressures of rehearsal week on the Eurovision artists, Jana explained that she still loves the contest, and it would be a great to return again.
“I wasn’t aware of how much I loved Eurovision until I went back… then the year Tamara [Todevska] was singing… I was part of the press team. I was back at Eurovision with a different role and I fell in love all over again.”
“I would go to Eurovision every year as a singer, as a journalist, I just love the event.”
Jana failed to qualify from the second semi-final in 2017 with her song “Dance Alone” but stole the show when she was proposed to during the live show.
Despite her failure to qualify, Jana revealed she would return to the contest if possible, and still works in the music industry in Skopje.
“If singers in Macedonia are tired of Eurovision, I would love to be the one who goes every year and just try my luck.”
North Macedonia will be represented by Vasil with with song “Here I Stand” at this year’s contest, while you can listen to Jana’s interview by scrolling to 41.08″ in this week’s episode.
