The Grand Final of the 65th Eurovision Song Contest will take place on May 22 at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. 39 artists will take to the stage over three nights to perform their contributions for the contest, fighting to become the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Over the next week, all of the artists will have the chance to rehearse on stage and make any last minute changes to their performance before the live broadcasts. Today, seven countries will rehearse for the first time.

13:10 CET // Live coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest first rehearsals commences in 30 minutes time.

13:47 CET // Hallo iedereen and welcome back to the second part Day 1 of rehearsals.

Australia: Montaigne – “Technicolour”

13:51 CET // We had a sneak peek of Montaigne’s live on tape performance. Montaigne starts in the dark and when the lights come on to her, she is wearing a black outfit.

North Macedonia: Vasil – “Here I Stand”

14:32 CET // Vasil starts the performance with a side light shining on him.

14:33 CET // Vasil has different images and visual images projected on to him.

14:34 CET // Vasil opened up his jacket to reveal a mirrorball shirt, off which the lights reflect.

14:36 CET // On the last note, the camera pans out over the entire stage.

14:43 CET // Vasil begins his final rehearsal.

14:45 CET // Lots of gold on the LED screens.

14:46 CET // Vasil is holding back on the vocals in this run-through, presumably to save his voice.

Ireland: Lesley Roy – “Maps”
