Manizha will represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Conetst 2021 in Rotterdam with the song “Russian Woman”.
The Russian national final was held in Moscow and was hosted by Yana Churikova. This was the first time since 2012 that Russia held a televised selection to pick its representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. A total of three acts competed and the winner of the selection was determined by 100% televoting. The results are as follows:
- Therr Maitz – Future Is Bright 24.6% 3rd
- #2Mashi – Bitter Words 35.7% 2nd
- Manizha – Russkaya Zhennshchina (Русская Женщина – Russian Woman) 39.7% 1st
During the show, several guest artists performing including:
- Filipp Kirkorov (Russia 1995)
- Dima Bilan (Russia 2008, Eurovision 2008 winner)
- Polina Gagarina (Russia 2015)
- Little Big (Russia 2020)
Manizha will perform in the first half of the first semi-final on May 18. “Russian Woman” is the first Russian entry since 2011 to feature lyrics in Russian.

Russia debuted in Eurovision in 1994 and has gone on to be one of the most successful countries in the contest. Since the mid-00s Russia has had a string of strong results including their first and only victory in 2008. Dima Bilan won the contest in Belgrade, Serbia with the song “Believe” taking the contest to Moscow in the following year.
