Tonight both Norway and Lithuania begin their selection shows for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam.
Norway – Melodi Grand Prix – Semi-Final One – 19:50 CET
The first semi-final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021 takes place this evening, with four artists competing for a slot in the Grand Final.
The four acts competing in Semi-Final One are:
- Stina Talling – “Elevate”
- Jorn – “Fate Bloody Faith”
- Blåsemafian – “Let Loose”
- Beady Belle – “Playing With Fire”
Also performing tonight are two pre-qualified acts, KEiiNO and TIX. KEiiNO represented Norway at the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.
The four acts will be drawn into two duels live on stage, from each duel one winner will be crowned. The winners of each duel will then meet in the ‘Gold Duel’ with the winner going to the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2021 on February 20th.

Lithuania – Pabandom iš naujo – Heat One – 20:00 CET
The first heat of Lithuania’s selection show, Pabandom iš Naujo, is being broadcast tonight after the performances were pre-recorded in Vilnius. Ten artists will participate in this heat, they are:
- Black Spikes & Indrė Launikonytė – Don’t Tell Me
- Thomukas – Wish
- Be U – Love Yourself
- Voldemars Petersons – I Never Fall for You Again
- Martyna Jezepčikaitė – F**k You Very Much
- Donata Virbilaitė – The Way I Am
- Twosome – I Love My Bear
- Milita Daikerytė – Shadows
- Aldegunda – Sit Down
- Titas & Benas – No
Five acts from each heat will qualify for the next stage of the competition, chosen by 50% public televote and 50% jury voting. The jury for each show will change. The jury for show one is as follows:
- Ramūnas Zilnys – LRT popular music Editor-in-Chief
- Jievaras Jasinskis – Composer and arranger
- Vytautas Bikus – Songwriter and composer
- Ieva Narkutė – Performer
- Aistė Smilgevičiūtė – Lithuanian representative in Eurovision 1999
