Krunoslav Slabinac who represented Yugoslavia at Eurovision 1971 has passed away at the age of 76.

Krunoslav Slabinac has passed away today at the age of 76. The singer who was born in Osijek was best known for his folk inspired music from Slovenia and Croatia. The singers career however started in a different genre having been a member of a number of rock ‘n’ roll groups before going solo.

In 1971 he won the Yugoslav selection and represented his nation in Dublin with the song “Tvoj dječak je tužan”. He placed 14th out of 18 acts scoring a total of 68 points. You can watch his performance below:
