Today: France Reveals Their Junior Eurovision Representative, Ranina Continues & More

France will today reveal their representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020, while Georgia’s selection continues.

France will be the latest nation to reveal their Junior Eurovision representative today. In addition the first performance of the Belarusian entry ‘Aliens’ will take place, while in Georgia Ranina continues.

France will be revealing their representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020 today.

Once again France Televisions has opted to internally select both their singer and song for the contest this November. For a third year in a row since their return France has also opted to select a female singer for the competition.

At the 2019 contest, France were represented by Carla with the song “Bim Bam Toi”. Eventually the country finished in 5th place with 169 points. This marks their second best result following in 2018 when they finished 2nd with “Jamais sans toi” by Angelina.

‘Good morning, Belarus!’ will see the first performance of ‘Aliens’ the Belarusian entry for Junior Eurovision 2020.

Filming of the performance took place yesterday at the BTRC studios. The song ‘Aliens’ is set to be performed in both English and Russian, having been revamped since it was first submitted into the Belarusian selection process. Belarus is being represented by Arina Pehtereva.

Georgia – Ranina Continues – 20:00 CEST

The third thematic round of Ranina commences this evening, with five singers taking to the stage.

Each of the thematic rounds will be held featuring two episodes on each theme, all ten competing acts will be judged by a three member jury during these shows, the jury will change for each theme. The five acts that score the highest points total during these eight shows will then progress through to a semi-final. In the semi-final three acts will be chosen to compete in the final, the winner will represent Georgia.
